Job summary

Smyths Toys is seeking enthusiastic Sales Assistants for their Superstores as part of an expanding business with exciting opportunities. This temporary position offers a competitive rate of €14.25 per hour for over 20s and €13.00 for under 20s, with responsibilities including providing excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, and assisting with product knowledge.

Candidates with retail experience in areas such as nursery, software & gaming, or backdoor/warehouse are preferred but

• Flexibility is required as stores are open 7 days a week.

• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants.

• Keep the store clean and tidy.
• Pack shelves and merchandise.
• Work delivery and complete price changes.
• Work on the tills.

This is a temporary contract, with a rate of pay of €14.25 per hour for over 20 and €13.00 per hour for under 20.

• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Work as part of a fast paced and dynamic team
• Keep the store clean and tidy
• Pack shelves and merchandise
• Work delivery and complete price changes
• Work on the tills
• Learn about and keep up to date with our products in order to help customers

The Ideal Candidate

Retail experience in the following areas is highly desirable, but not essential:

• Nursery
• Software & Gaming
• Backdoor/Warehouse

Our stores are open 7 days a week so we need our Sales Assistants to be as flexible as possible.
