Job summary

Smyths Toys Superstores in Athlone is seeking Sales Assistants for a temporary role.

The role involves delivering excellent customer service, supporting a fast-paced team, handling tills, pricing changes, and keeping the store tidy while staying flexible for a seven-day operation.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in Outdoor/Bikes, Nursery, Software & Gaming, Backdoor/Warehouse.

Responsibilities

Smyths Toys is one of the world's largest specialty retailers of children's toys. We operate both online, and via our physical retail stores, with hundreds of stores spread across Europe and the UK. We source our product range from an extensive array of UK, European, and international suppliers.

About The Role

Contract & Pay

This is a temporary contract, with a rate of pay of €14.25 per hour for over 20 and €13.00 per hour for under 20.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Work as part of a fast paced and dynamic team
• Keep the store clean and tidy
• Pack shelves and merchandise
• Work delivery and complete price changes
• Work on the tills
• Learn about and keep up to date with our products in order to help customers

The Ideal Candidate

Retail experience in the following areas is highly desirable, but not essential:

• Outdoor/Bikes
• Nursery
• Software & Gaming
• Backdoor/Warehouse

Our stores are open 7 days a week so we need our Sales Assistants to be as flexible as possible.
