Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is partnering with a Galway-based organisation to recruit an experienced Project Manager (Roads) to oversee projects across the Connacht and Donegal region. This is a leadership role responsible for delivering multiple site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience managing sign installation or similar infrastructure works on high-speed national roads.
• Strong contract management and project delivery experience.
• Detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate site operations across multiple projects.
• Act as PSCS under the Construction Regulations.
• Prepare and manage Construction Stage Health & Safety Plans.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and Temporary Traffic Management reviews.
• Ensure safe systems of work, site inductions, and method statements are effectively implemented.
• Manage project programmes, reporting requirements, and client communications.
• Liaise with Employer Representatives and key stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Develop efficient work plans and task orders to maximise productivity.
• Monitor contract performance, commercial outcomes, and compliance standards.
• Work closely with HR, Safety, Environmental, and Operations teams to ensure best practice across all activities.

• Act as Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations
• Prepare and manage Construction Stage Health & Safety Plans
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and Temporary Traffic Management reviews
• Ensure safe systems of work, site inductions, and method statements are effectively implemented
• Manage project programmes, reporting requirements, and client communications
• Liaise with Employer Representatives and key stakeholders throughout project delivery
• Develop efficient work plans and task orders to maximise productivity
• Monitor contract performance, commercial outcomes, and compliance standards
• Work closely with HR, Safety, Environmental, and Operations teams to ensure best practice across all activities

What You'll Need

• 3+ years' experience managing sign installation or similar infrastructure works on high-speed national roads
• Strong contract management and project delivery experience
• Relevant engineering, construction, or technical qualification
• Detailed knowledge of Traffic Signs Manuals, Traffic Management requirements, and Health & Safety legislation
• Recognised Health & Safety certification
• Proven understanding of site operations, quality systems, financial controls, compliance, and contractor management
