Job summary

Production Equipment Ltd in Ireland is hiring a Retail Sales assistant for the Safety Direct division. This full-time role covers Monday to Friday and Saturdays per roster, based in our Galway shop.

You will greet customers, explain product benefits, merchandise, keep the shop tidy, and process transactions while delivering outstanding service and supporting the team.

Qualifications

• Polite, patient and helpful with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Technical background or experience in Trades/Safety/DIY is desirable.
• Flexible, reliable and proactive attitude with the ability to bring new ideas / initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers entering the shop and assisting shoppers to find the goods they seek.
• Inform customers on technical benefits of our product selection and discuss these confidently.
• Merchandising in retail unit and locating stock in the warehouse.
• Ensuring retail unit is fully stocked and tidy throughout the day.
• Deliver first class customer service and maximise sales to each customer.
• Reporting discrepancies and issues to Business Manager.
• Balancing cash registers with receipts and dealing with customer refunds.

Production Equipment is a leading industrial distributor supplying over 90,000 products to customers across Europe.

We are looking for a Retail Sales assistant to join our Retail operation in our Safety Direct division.
This is a full-time role Monday to Friday 08.30am to 17.30pm & Saturdays 08:30am – 14:00pm (as per weekly roster).
