Job summary

Intersport Elverys located in Galway is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store operations and drive sales performance, deputising for the Store Manager as required.

You will lead day-to-day operations, manage staff, and drive KPIs, merchandising, cash handling, health and safety, and customer service excellence. The role requires 2–3 years of retail management experience and strong IT skills (Excel; SAP). A third-level qualification in business/retail is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications

• 2/3 years retail management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficient IT skills including Excel; SAP experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Store Manager when required.
• Support daily store operations, sales, staff, and customer experience.
• Meet and exceed store targets and KPIs.
• Assist in cash handling, wage costs, budgets and systems administration.
• Drive Visual Merchandising and ensure health & safety compliance.
• Recruit, train and manage staff according to policy.
