Job summary

Blue Forge Recruitment's client in Co. Cork seeks an experienced Assistant Store Manager for a high-volume, big-box retail environment. You will lead teams, drive commercial performance and deliver an excellent customer experience.

The role requires 4–5 years in retail management, strong KPI, budget and shrinkage control, and the ability to manage up to 50 staff across departments in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4-5 years of retail management experience in big-box settings.
• Proficient in KPI management, sales targets, budgets and shrinkage.
• Proficient with Retail IT systems to track stock and sales trends.
• Excellent people skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams up to 50.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior manager, supporting the Store Manager to meet sales and commercial goals.
• Ensure teams follow all company policies and procedures.
• Manage stock inventory and train staff on inventory control.
• Develop advertising, sales promotions and display plans.
• Own store controllable costs to maintain profitability.
• Recruit, select and train staff with HR support.
• Handle customer queries and complaints per policy.
• Address staff grievances and performance issues as needed.
