Job summary

Primark Stores Limited in Swords, Ireland, is hiring a Temporary Fixed Purpose Retail Assistant to support our busy store during peak seasons. The role is 11.5–14 contracted hours per week with a mix of late and weekend shifts.

You will help customers with sizes and purchases, keep the shop floor attractive, and process till queries, returns and price checks. The position offers an in-store discount and pension benefits, plus opportunities to progress internationally.

Temporary Fixed Purpose Retail Assistant Role

This is a temporary position offering 11.5-14 contracted hours per week.

Flexibility is essential for this role. Applicants must be available to work a variety of shifts, including 4-hour and 7.5-hour shifts, and be able to commit to:

• A minimum of two evening shifts Monday to Friday, with shift patterns including 3:00pm-7:00pm, 5:00pm-9:00pm, and 6:00pm-10:00pm
• Full availability between 7:00am and 10:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays
• Public Holidays, including St. Stephen's Day (26 December 2026) and New Year's Day (1 January 2027)

What will I be doing?

As a Retail Assistant, you’ll be making our customer’s day, every day. Here’s what this looks like in action:

• Providing customers with an amazing experience as you help them with things like sizes or styles, purchases, or returns
• Setting up a good-looking shop floor with full shelves, tidy fitting rooms and all the latest fashions, as well as keeping a tidy and well-organised stockroom
• Delivering a fast, friendly, efficient experience at till points, processing queries, voids, and returns.
• Receiving, unpacking and checking off new deliveries. Getting our products on to the shop floor and ensuring they’re all correctly priced - all while making sure everything meets our high standards
