Job summary

Gourmet Food Parlour in Malahide invites an Assistant Manager to join our team at a beautiful seaside location. This predominantly daytime role offers an excellent work-life balance and a path to grow into a Restaurant Manager position.

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and support day-to-day operations including labour, stock, cost management, and rosters. English fluency and HACCP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
  • Lead the team by example, ensuring outstanding customer service at all times.
  • Assist in achieving financial targets through effective labour, stock and cost management.
  • Manage daily cash handling and ensure company procedures are followed.
  • Maintain optimum stock levels and assist with ordering and stock control.
  • Prepare and coordinate employee rotas to ensure efficient staffing levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, HACCP, health & safety and cleaning standards.
  • Train, coach and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding and performance management.
  • Build strong working relationships with the kitchen team to ensure excellent service and food quality.
  • Liaise daily with the Operations and Reservations teams to ensure smooth service and successful event execution.
  • Resolve customer queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Promote Gourmet Food Parlour's brand values and maintain high operational standards.
  • Step into the Restaurant Manager's role when required.

Gourmet Food Parlour is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and ambitious Assistant Manager to join our team at our beautiful Malahide restaurant.

Located between the picturesque villages of Malahide and Portmarnock, our restaurant boasts stunning coastal views and offers a predominantly daytime role with an excellent work-life balance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional looking to take the next step in their management career. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, leading and developing a high-performing team, and supporting the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day running of the business.

Key Responsibilities
