Dromcollogher and District Respite Care Centre is seeking a dedicated Chef to prepare nutritious meals for 15 residents in a small respite home. You will work with another cook on a rotating roster, ensuring high-quality meal service in a warm, cooperative team environment.

Responsibilities include menu planning with the care team, maintaining hygiene standards, and accommodating dietary requirements. A flexible roster includes weekends and bank holidays with shift allowances.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a chef in healthcare or care settings.
• Knowledge of nutrition for elderly or vulnerable individuals.
• Commitment to food safety and HACCP standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals meeting dietary needs and preferences of residents.
• Plan menus with care team for balanced nutrition.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety regulations.
• Manage kitchen supplies and minimize waste.
• Communicate with residents to accommodate allergies and preferences.
• Support a positive kitchen environment and collaborate with care staff.
• Participate in on-site auditing and weekly deep cleaning.
