We are currently recruiting a Respiratory Physiologist fora hospital in Cork, Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Perform a range of respiratory and pulmonary function tests in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Conduct respiratory assessments and physiological measurements, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
- Prepare patients for respiratory investigations and explain procedures clearly to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to any concerns or changes in their condition.
- Analyse and interpret respiratory test results and prepare accurate clinical reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation.
Requirements
- Hold a Physiologist/Clinical Measurement degree or equivalent recognised by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS); or
- Hold the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology or an equivalent qualification confirmed by IICMS.
- Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience as a Respiratory Technician/Respiratory Physiologist in an acute hospital setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong awareness of and sensitivity to patient needs.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a high-volume workload and prioritise effectively.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with colleagues both within and outside the organisation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
