Dublin Simon Community in Dublin City Centre is seeking a dedicated professional for a 1-year fixed-term role. You will support residents, supervise staff, and help ensure safe, effective services in a collaborative team environment.

Training, supervision, and safeguarding are integral, with a focus on quality governance, documentation, and stakeholder engagement to deliver compassionate care and positive outcomes for residents.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a relevant field as listed.
• 2 years’ experience working in a social or caring setting.
• Understanding of homelessness and client needs.
• Ability to contribute to prevention and management of challenging behaviour.
• Commitment to Health & Safety.
• Excellent recordkeeping, report writing, organisational and planning skills.
• Client-focused, adaptable, accountable individual.
• Excellent communicator with delegation ability.

Responsabilités

• Support the manager to deliver a quality service and ensure resident progression.
• Maintain risk management, handover continuity and daily task recording.
• Conduct audits to promote high-quality, evidence-based service delivery.
• Lead induction and local training; supervise delegated staff and liaise with the manager.
• Be the main contact for maintenance and cleaning issues with stakeholders.
• Ensure client feedback is implemented and service user participation grows.
• Oversee service rota and record-keeping in Time Management System.
• Support incident response and implement recommendations from reports.
• Monitor Health & Safety, hygiene and HACCP standards in the building.
• Contribute to care and case reviews and provide supportive interventions.
• Promote mental health awareness and mutual respect among residents and staff.
• Keep up-to-date with health/addiction issues and share best practices.
