Job summary

The Orchard Care Group is expanding its Orchard Community Care division in Co Roscommon and inviting RNID registered nurses to join in full-time, part-time or relief roles. You will provide direct support in residential and day services to children and adults with medium to profound disabilities, working with a multidisciplinary team.

Roles involve 12-hour shifts including sleep-ins and wakeful nights, rostering flexibility, and active involvement in care planning, documentation and team

Qualifications

• Must be registered with NMBI in RNID division.
• Demonstrate knowledge of HIQA standards and Health Act regulations for residential care settings.
• Proficient IT skills, good communication, team player, able to provide high-quality focused care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualised care to each person supported per care plan and clinical judgment.
• Assess needs and develop person-centred care plans with input from Care Services team.
• Supervise and support Care Assistants; allocate tasks, provide guidance and training.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings.
• Organise documentation and transport for external appointments and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate progress notes and medication cardex; provide handover to next shift.
