Job summary

Orchard Community Care in Co Roscommon is seeking qualified nurses to provide residential and day services to children and adults with disabilities. You will deliver direct care, support development, and work within a multidisciplinary team to enhance health and wellbeing.

The role includes 12-hour shifts on a rolling roster with days, sleep-ins and waking nights as required, and opportunities for professional development and progression.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (RNID).
• Proficient in HIQA National Standards & Health Act Regulations for Residential Care Settings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualised care per care plan and clinical judgment.
• Develop person-centred care plans with input from the Care Services team.
• Manage Care Assistants: allocate tasks, supervise and train where required.
• Attend staff meetings and maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Organise transport for appointments and maintain medication cardex.
