Job summary

The Orchard Care Group operates a specialist children's residential service in Ireland, seeking a Registered Nurse to join a dedicated team. The role covers 24/7 care within a rolling roster, including 12-hour shifts, sleep-ins, and waking night duties where required.

You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care, assess needs, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to meet complex medical needs and disability requirements.

Qualifications

• Currently registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland in the RNID Division.
• Demonstrate knowledge of HIQA National Standards & Health Act Regulations for Residential Care Settings.
• Proficient IT skills, strong communication, and ability to work within a team.
• Shifts include 12-hour rotations, days, live nights, weekends; flexibility required.
• Full manual driving licence with eligibility to drive in Ireland.
• Eligible to live and work in Ireland without restriction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualised care to each person in accordance with the care plan.
• Assess needs and develop person-centred care plans with the team.
• Manage Care Assistants; allocate, supervise, and train as needed.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings and handovers.
• Arrange documentation and transport for external care appointments.
• Maintain accurate progress notes and medication records for residents.
