Job summary

Lotus Care is seeking Healthcare Assistants to join our expanding teams in Ireland as we prepare to open new residential centres in Laois. You will work full-time, 42 hours per week, delivering person-centred care and supporting daily living activities in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Hold a full Irish driving licence.
• Prior experience in social care or healthcare.
• Working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills.
• Garda Vetting/Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and support choice, decision-making, independence and personal development.
• Provide person-centred support with daily living skills, personal care, hygiene, health and appearance.
• Deliver support in line with individual care plans, goals and needs.
• Work in accordance with Lotus Care policies and procedures, relevant legislation, standards, regulations and codes of practice.
• Administer and accurately document prescribed medication in line with relevant policies and procedures.
• Record and report incidents, concerns and complaints involving service owners, staff or visitors
• Work collaboratively with the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to support service owners in achieving their individual goals.
