Job summary

Windmill Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced Activities Assistant to join the Ferbane Care Centre team. You will help provide a comprehensive activities programme for residents in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating recreational and social activities, reviewing assessments, recording attendance in EpiCare, planning outings, and supporting staff in delivering engaging experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience working with older adults in care settings is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the activities programme for Ferbane Care Centre residents.
• Review resident activity assessments regularly and adapt to needs changes.
• Record attendance of residents at activities using EpiCare Therapies notes.
• Plan and implement special activities including outings, garden visits, parties and seasonal events.
• Educate staff to deliver resident activities and liaise with local services as needed.
