Job summary

The Maryborough Hotel in Ireland is seeking an experienced Reservations Agent to join our team on a full-time basis, five days out of seven. You will manage reservations, handle inquiries, and act as the main contact for wedding room bookings, ensuring a smooth guest journey from booking to arrival.

The ideal candidate will have hotel reservations experience, be fluent in English, and possess strong administrative and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing reservations via phone, email, and third-party booking platforms.
• Processing new bookings, amendments, cancellations, and special requests.
• Issuing booking confirmations and responding promptly to guest enquiries.
• Maximising room revenue through effective sales and upselling techniques.
• Reviewing daily arrivals, departures, occupancy levels, and forecasts.
• Coordinating VIP and repeat guest requirements to ensure a personalised experience.
• Supporting the onboarding, training, and development of new team members.

The Maryborough Hotel is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Reservations Agent to join our team on a full-time basis, working 5 days over 7.

Your Role

As a Reservations Agent, you will play an important role in delivering an exceptional guest journey, from the moment a booking is made through to arrival. This role incorporates being the main contact for Wedding Room bookings, a rewarding part of the role.

Key responsibilities include

• Managing reservations via phone, email, and third-party booking platforms
• Processing new bookings, amendments, cancellations, and special requests
• Issuing booking confirmations and responding promptly to guest enquiries
• Maximising room revenue through effective sales and upselling techniques
• Reviewing daily arrivals, departures, occupancy levels, and forecasts
• Coordinating VIP and repeat guest requirements to ensure a personalised experience
• Supporting the onboarding, training, and development of new team members
