Job summary

University College Cork (UCC) invites applications for a 21-month fixed-term, full-time research position in the CSIT/NASC teams. The project focuses on agentic AI and digital twins for Ultra-Wideband RF sensing, localisation and vital sign recognition, led by Dr. Harry Nguyen and Prof.

Dirk Pesch. The role is based on the UCC campus, engaging with industry partners Danalto and Qorvo. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Electronic Engineering

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience in open-source software integration, network and embedded system implementations, mobile application development, artificial intelligence and data analytics.
  • Background in radio localisation or mobile healthcare applications may be considered.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Research and development on agentic AI and digital twin concepts for UWB RF sensing, localisation and vital sign recognition.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and NASC research members across UCC.
  • Work within CSIT and the nasc research centre on future communication networks and intelligent systems.
