Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking an analyst to support its Performance Reporting team in Dublin. The role focuses on addressing performance outliers and ensuring data accuracy for Retail, Institutional and managed clients.

You will investigate exceptions daily, remediate data quality issues, and work with downstream users to maintain reliability of rate of return calculations. This position suits a recent finance graduate with strong Excel and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business or related discipline.
• 0-2 years’ experience, preferably within financial services and/or a shared service model.
• Experience with Performance measurement analysis or brokerage/US Operations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and address daily and monthly performance outlier exceptions.
• Identify and remediate data quality issues and breaks from downstream consumers.
• Validate outliers through data analysis of cash flows, interest and market values.
• Maintain written supervisory procedures and participate in projects to improve workflow and accuracy.

The Performance Reporting team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Retail, Institutional and managed clients’ rate of returns data before being published on fid.com.

Expertise we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business or related discipline.
• 0-2 years’ experience, preferably within financial services and/or a shared service model.
• Experience with Performance measurement analysis or brokerage/US Operations is an advantage.

Purpose of Your Role

The primary focus is to investigate and address exceptions handling (performance outliers) on a daily and monthly basis. In addition, from a remediation perspective, identify, investigate, and remediate breaks, data quality issues, and other issues identified by downstream consumers.

• Researching and resolving daily exceptions generated from the Rate of Return calculation engine
• Validating outliers through data analysis by understanding cash flows, interest, accruals, and market values in the performance measurement process
• Developing your knowledge of financial products, corporate actions and market trends to understand how these impact rate of return calculations
• Maintaining operational and written supervisory procedures in accordance with divisional standards
• Participating in various projects and process improvement initiatives focused on improving the existing workflow, quality and efficiency in the process
