Job summary

Elgin is seeking an Investment Modelling Associate to join our Commercial team and shape investment decisions across our growing renewable energy portfolio. You will deliver high-quality financial models and insightful analysis powering strategic decisions.

You will evaluate opportunities, support investment strategies, and help expand our renewable energy business in a dynamic environment focused on a cleaner energy future.

Qualifications

• Extensive ability to build, interrogate complex financial models.
• Strong Excel skills for corporate finance and modelling.
• Experience with debt modelling (project finance, HoldCo facilities) is beneficial.
• Excellent commercial acumen and understanding of funding implications.
• Professional finance qualification (CFA/ACCA/ACA) would be advantageous.
• Renewable energy sector knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-depth financial analysis and modelling across Elgin's asset base.
• Perform analysis across transactions and deal structuring.
• Lead group commercial modelling, reporting and analysis to controlling shareholder.
• Develop discounted cash flow models for asset valuation and investment appraisal.
• Manage stakeholder relationships within Elgin and with external advisors.
• Explore financing scenarios and implications on project economics.
• Support go-to-market activities and due diligence in sales processes.
• Assist Transaction Team with buy-side and sell-side modelling.
• Support forecast modelling and long-range planning.
• Build modelling knowledge across the Commercial function.
