Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Threat Analyst within the Malware Research Center to investigate emerging threats and validate Falcon's detection coverage. You will work with Threat Research, Engineering, Data Science, and Red Team teams to translate research into product improvements that enhance protection for customers.

Required: 4+ years in threat research focusing on malware analysis; reverse engineering skills; experience with large datasets and security tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of threat research focusing on malware analysis.
• Experience reverse engineering file-based malware and exploits.
• GIAC GREM or OSCP desirable.
• Strong disassembly and programming fundamentals.
• Experience with large datasets and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyse emerging malware and threats to understand impact on customers.
• Investigate malware across the attack lifecycle to ensure detections are effective.
• Analyse data from multiple sources to distinguish genuine threats from noise.
• Validate detection capabilities and work with engineering to improve protections.
• Support external testing programs and respond to newly discovered threats.
• Collaborate with teams to translate research into product improvements.
• Design and improve automation to speed threat analysis.
• Communicate findings clearly to engineers and responders.
• Contribute to Falcon evolution with research, automation, AI, and ML.
