Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Private Equity Associate for the Consumer & Leisure sector (France/Europe) on a contract basis. The role requires building financial models from source documents and delivering an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, references, and stated assumptions.

The candidate will peer-review other contractors’ models and provide a concise rationale and scorecard. English-speaking professionals with 2–4 years in investment banking or PE, preferably with Paris/London or European

Qualifications

• 2–4 years total experience in investment banking or PE, ideally Paris/London/Europe.
• Experience in consumer/retail or generalist M&A roles at mid-market or large-cap PE.
• Ability to build a financial model from source documents without a template.
• English-speaking capability required.

Responsibilities

• Build a working financial model of an assigned consumer/leisure transaction from a synthetic deal document pack.
• Deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and stated assumptions.
• Peer-review two anonymized models against fixed criteria and provide rationale and a review scorecard.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines with accuracy and quality.
