Job summary

Mercor is seeking experienced private equity associates to construct a financial model from synthetic deal documents for a consumer/leisure transaction and deliver a fully editable Excel workbook with live formulas and references.

You will also peer-review two other models, providing rationales and a review scorecard, with ~20–25 hours over 1.5–2 weeks. English-speaking candidates with European deal experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years total experience: ~2 years investment banking (Consumer / Retail or generalist M&A) followed by 1–2 years in mid-market or large-cap private equity
• Currently or recently an Associate at a mid-market or large-cap PE fund with a consumer / leisure / multi-site services focus (fitness clubs, owned vs. franchise, multi-site roll-ups); a Paris office or French deal experience is preferred
• Able to build a financial model from source documents, without a template
• English-speaking

Responsibilities

• Build a working financial model of an assigned consumer / leisure transaction from a synthetic deal document pack
• Deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and stated assumptions
• Peer-review two anonymized models from other contractors against a fixed set of criteria, with a short written rationale for each and a completed review scorecard
