Lever, Inc. in Ireland is seeking a Freight Audit & Billing Manager to own end-to-end carrier and customer billing in a growing international package forwarding environment.

This remote role focuses on accurate invoicing, dispute resolution, and full recovery of charges while shaping automated billing solutions with developers and collaborating with carrier teams. You will guide a Billing Specialist, oversee monthly reporting to the Managing Director, and ensure scalable processes across borders

Qualifications

• 4+ years in billing, freight audit, revenue ops, or carrier/back-office functions.

Responsibilities

• Audit carrier invoices (FedEx/UPS/DHL/PostNL/DPD) for surcharges, weight, address corrections, duties/taxes.
• Dispute charges, track open disputes, and ensure credits are received.
• Re-bill legitimate carrier charges to customers and monitor open items.
• Own customer-side billing including invoicing, credits, dunning, and collections.
• Collaborate with carrier teams and stakeholders; support rate negotiations data needs.
• Define requirements for the internal billing module with software developers.
• Support automation of invoice imports, audit rules, and reconciliation."
• Guide a part-time Billing Specialist and review quality of work.
• Document processes for consistency and scalability.
• Prepare monthly MD reports on audit coverage, recovery, and outstanding items.
