Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a freelance 2D UI Artist based in Ireland to shape polished interfaces for ambitious upcoming games.

You will create high-quality icons, small props, and other 2D assets that read clearly at small sizes and integrate into Unreal Engine 5. You will work remotely with an international team, collaborating with UX, game design, and UI leadership, iterating assets based on playtests and feedback.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as a 2D Artist/UI Artist.
• Advanced proficiency in Photoshop, Affinity, Procreate or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of rendering, colour theory, composition, visual hierarchy, and readability at small UI sizes.
• Experience with Unreal Engine is highly desirable.
• Portfolio showing UI artwork, iconography, rendering, and versatility.

Responsibilities

• Design and render high-quality 2D game icons and UI assets.
• Manage production pipeline from rough concepts to polished assets.
• Ensure visual quality and fidelity across UI assets.
• Follow established art direction and style guidelines.
• Export assets and prep for engine integration.
• Collaborate with UX designers and UI leadership.
• Iterate based on playtesting and feedback.
• Optimize assets for performance and readability.
