Job summary

talanoa is seeking a hands-on Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer to maintain and enhance an existing data platform, delivering reliable insights for Product, Marketing, Finance and Compliance. You will work with SQL, Python and Tableau to optimise pipelines and dashboards in a remote-first, international team.

You'll partner with Finance for reporting accuracy and with Product/Marketing to improve customer experiences and engagement, while exploring AI-driven automation to streamline workflows

Qualifications

• Hands-on data analytics or analytics engineering experience.
• Strong SQL and Python.
• Experience with data warehouses and ETL/ELT processes.
• Familiarity with Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Interest in automation and AI to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, optimise and improve existing data pipelines, models and reporting infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and analytical solutions using SQL, Python, Tableau and related tools.
• Work closely with Finance to support financial reporting, transaction analysis and data accuracy.
• Partner with Product and Marketing to analyze customer behaviour and opportunities to improve the customer experience.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting, data processing and analytical workflows, including AI tool applications.
• Ensure data quality, consistency and accessibility across business functions.
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve the data environment.
