Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a senior solution architect to lead design across multi-domain projects, including procurement and software development initiatives. You will collaborate with business analysts and project teams to define requirements and non-functional specs.

You'll design cloud-native and hybrid solutions on Microsoft Azure, align with governance and architecture standards, and guide delivery teams through implementation while mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in solution design and architecture across database, backend, integration and user experience.
• Effective interpersonal skills and experience engaging with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Ability to produce concise and accurate solution designs that align with architecture governance processes, architectural strategy and business requirements.
• Experience of Microsoft Azure platform services, including cloud-native and hybrid-cloud design, plus migration from on-premise.
• Knowledge of architectural modelling tools and TOGAF.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead architect or collaborate with other solution architects on strategic projects (procurement and software development).
• Work with business analysts and project teams to understand requirements and define non-functional specs.
• Design technology solutions that meet requirements and align with standards and strategy.
• Present designs to architecture governance forums for review and approval.
• Support enterprise architects in roadmaps for applications and platforms.
• Coordinate implementation with delivery teams and ensure alignment with high-level designs.
• Provide guidance through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to architecture standards and reusable patterns.
• Manage relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
