Alignerr is seeking a Climate Data Specialist (AI Training) to apply climate science expertise in developing complex problem sets that train AI models. This fully remote, hourly contract role invites researchers to work asynchronously on real-world environmental challenges.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or PhD in environmental sciences and are proficient in Python or R, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently across time zones.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Ecology or related field.
• Strong Python or R experience for research or data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop climate/environmental science problems with real-world relevance for AI training.
• Apply climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or related disciplines to craft rigorous problem sets.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to improve model reasoning.
• Evaluate scientific accuracy and clarity of AI outputs in your domain.
• Ensure deliverables meet high standards of rigor and communication quality.
