Job summary

Taxkey is a specialist tax advisory practice delivering market leading tax advisory services. This remote-first role focuses on high-level advisory work for private clients and SMEs across all tax heads in Ireland.

You will lead tax consultancy assignments, advise on succession, reconstructions and VAT, and shape practical client solutions while building strong relationships with clients and professionals. A fully remote role with one in-person team day per month in Co. Kildare.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (AITI CTA).
• 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in a tax advisory environment.
• Proven experience across multiple tax heads in a tax or accounting firm, and experience advising private and SME clients.
• Strong communication skills and a desire to be a team player.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Solid IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Comfortable with modern software and keen to help us improve how we work.
• A genuine preference for advisory work over compliance.
• Comfortable working fully remotely and collaborating virtually.
• Based in Ireland

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver tax consultancy assignments across all tax heads for private clients and SMEs.
• Advise on business succession, company reconstructions, VAT on property, estate planning, share disposals and reorganisations, and Revenue interventions.
• Research and interpret Irish tax legislation, case law and Revenue guidance to develop practical client solutions.
• Build strong client relationships as a trusted advisor, and lead client consultations as you progress.
• Collaborate with accountants, legal advisors and other professionals to deliver integrated solutions.
• Represent Taxkey in meetings with clients, Revenue and other professional advisers.
• Deliver on tax compliance work.
• Work within our technology-enabled practice, helping to shape and refine the workflows that support quality and efficiency as the firm grows.
• Contribute to the technical knowledge of the firm and, at senior level, mentor and review the work of colleagues.
