Clarity Search Partners is working with a boutique tax consultancy to recruit a Senior Tax Advisor for its growing Dublin team. Established almost 20 years ago, the practice is known for providing practical advice on complex Irish tax matters.

This advisory-focused role involves significant client contact and responsibility for assignments, with most work in tax consulting, planning or disputes rather than routine compliance.

Qualifications

• Ideally at least three years’ tax experience, with exposure to private client, corporate, international or owner-managed business tax.
• Strong technical ability and commercial judgement.
• Comfortable managing assignments and dealing directly with clients.
• Able to explain complex tax matters clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• An accounting or legal qualification would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Advise on business sales, acquisitions, group reorganisations and shareholder transactions.
• Succession planning and transfer of businesses, property and other wealth.
• International tax matters for expatriates, returning Irish individuals and non-domiciled clients.
• Property transactions involving VAT, stamp duty, CGT and ownership structures.
• Revenue audits, investigations, disclosures and settlement negotiations.
• Tax appeals and disputes, working alongside solicitors and barristers where required.
• Research unusual technical issues and turn findings into clear, practical advice.
• Work closely with experienced tax professionals and other specialists.

This is an advisory-focused position with significant client contact and responsibility for assignments. Almost all of the work involves tax consulting, planning or disputes, with relatively little routine compliance.

The role

Your work could include advising on:

• Business sales, acquisitions, group reorganisations and shareholder transactions.
• Succession planning and the transfer of businesses, property and other wealth.
• International tax matters for expatriates, returning Irish individuals and non-domiciled clients.
• Property transactions involving VAT, stamp duty, CGT and ownership structures.
• Revenue audits, investigations, disclosures and settlement negotiations.
• Tax appeals and disputes, working alongside solicitors and barristers where required.

You will research unusual technical issues and turn your findings into clear, practical advice. Assignments vary in length and complexity, and you will work closely with experienced tax professionals and other specialists.
