Job summary

Lumeg Recruitment is seeking a proactive Building Inspector/Surveyor for a fixed-term contract in Dublin. The role supports stock condition surveys and housing regulation compliance, with remote working enabled and equipment provided. Travel across Ireland and to the UK may be required.

You will contribute to weekly KPIs, coordinate with administration, and be supported toward registration as a Building Surveyor if desired. 35 hours per week, with flexible or part-time options.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Building Surveyor/Structural/Civil Engineer or Architect with NFQ Level 8 / EQF Level 6 or equivalent
• Experience surveying private residential properties essential
• Working knowledge of Building and Housing Regulations 2019 and related housing regulations
• Full Driving Licence
• Registered Building Surveyor or working towards
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Able to prioritise to meet deadlines
• Accurate with attention to detail
• Independent worker with team collaboration
• Interpersonal skills and positive attitude
• Willingness to travel across Ireland/UK

Responsibilities

• Inspect privately rented properties in the designated region.
• Prepare reports on inspections using client system.
• Liaise with Admin to book landlord/tenant access and client issues.
• Use scheduling system to book appointments; report access issues.
• Write thorough professional reports with photographic evidence as needed.
• Ensure inspections meet Housing Regulations 2019; report concerns.
• Escalate non-compliance to Managing Surveyor/Contracts Manager and arrange re-inspections.
