Job summary

Alignerr seeks Software Engineers in Dublin to build, evaluate, and improve AI-generated code for training AI systems to think like developers. This fully remote, hourly contract role offers 10–40 hours per week and the chance to work on frontier AI coding tasks.

You will write, review, and refine code across languages, providing expert feedback to enhance AI coding assistants' safety and reliability. Apply if you can explain reasoning clearly and work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Eng, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages and able to read, write, and reason about code with clarity.
• Strong problem-solving and systematic debugging approach.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across multiple languages, frameworks, and problem domains.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works — or doesn't.
• Design challenging coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule.
