Job summary

Job description

WALK is seeking applications for the role ofRelief Support Worker to join the Day Opportunities team.

As a Relief Support Worker in WALK's Day Services, you’ll support people to pursue their personal goals, develop their independence, and participate fully in their communities.

This is a flexible role that allows you to gain experience across multiple day service locations in South and North Dublin. We are specifically seeking individuals who are available to work Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.

Eligibility criteria

• A genuine interest in supporting people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism
• Availability to work Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, with occasional evenings or weekends
• Flexibility to work both full and part-day shifts as needed
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
• Commitment to rights-based and person-centred practice
• QQI Level 5 (or working towards) in Social Care or related field
• Previous experience in disability or autism support (voluntary or paid)
• Full driver’s licence (B category)
• Familiarity with HIQA standards and New Directions
