Job summary

Enable Ireland is seeking a qualified nurse to join our community-based respite and holiday breaks service for children with physical/sensory disabilities or mild/moderate intellectual disabilities in Wicklow, Ireland.

The post requires General Nurse Registration with NMBI or eligibility, and annual registration with NMBI to Enable Ireland. Experience with children and families is desirable; annual leave and training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for registration in the General Nurse Division of the NMBI.
• Eligible to work in the State.
• Annual registration with the NMBI to Enable Ireland must be maintained.
• Experience with children with disabilities and their families/carers is desirable.
• Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience is desirable.

€37,801 - €55,193 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)

33 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.

Essential Criteria:

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).
• Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, (including a high standard of clinical and administrative capacity), for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
• Eligible to work in the State.

Annual registration

On appointment, practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).

Practitioners must confirm annual registration with the NMBI to Enable Ireland.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience working with children with disabilities and their families/carers.
• Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience.
