Job summary

Meagher's Pharmacy Group is seeking a motivated Relief Pharmacist to join our busy community pharmacy teams across our 10 stores. You will work with a dynamic team, supporting dispensing and advising patients, delivering high-quality healthcare and building relationships with the local community. This role requires PSI registration, at least 1 year of experience with Irish Schemes, and strong communication in a busy practice.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience with the Irish Schemes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive 'can-do' attitude.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a pressurised environment.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Patient-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient dispensing service in line with PSI regulations.
• Deliver patient care and professional advice to the local community.
• Support supervising pharmacist and wider team in daily operations.
• Ensure safe and accurate supply of medicines.
• Assist with stock control and ordering.
• Support delivery of vaccinations, health checks, and Common Conditions Service.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
• Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.

Job description

We are currently seeking a motivated and patient-focused Relief Pharmacist to join our busy community pharmacy teams across our 10 stores. Our relief pharmacist will work as part of a dynamic team, supporting our Supervising Pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions and delivering expert advice. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who is passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare services and building strong relationships with patients and the local community.

This role is minimum 120 hours per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and efficient dispensing service in accordance with PSI regulations and Standard Operating Procedures
• Deliver excellent patient care and professional advice to the local community
• Support the supervising pharmacist and wider pharmacy team in day-to-day operations
• Ensure the safe and accurate supply of medicines
• Assist with stock control and ordering
• Support the delivery of pharmacy services including vaccinations, health checks, and Common Conditions Service
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times
• Build and maintain positive personal relationships with our customers
• Support colleagues in maintaining a positive working environment
