Cork, the role focuses on developing and sustaining relationships with the aquaculture sector and with regional bodies and State agencies, including BIM's AFMD and MED. The officer will assist with the pre-application process for aquaculture licences, GIS mapping, and will act as a conduit between BIM and industry, supporting communications and regional growth

Job description

The Regional Development Officer is a key client-facing role responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with the aquaculture sector, as well as with regional bodies and State agencies. As a member of the Regional Development Team, the postholder will act as a conduit between BIM and the aquaculture sector in the Southern Region (Cork and Kerry). This role will be based in our Clonakilty Office and will support the aquaculture sector by providing direct assistance with the pre-application process for aquaculture licence applications and renewals, GIS mapping, and by maintaining effective communication channels with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine’s Aquaculture and Foreshore Management Division (AFMD) and Marine Engineering Division (MED).

This position is based in Clonakilty, Co. Cork; however, hybrid working may be considered, subject to approval.
