Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to join our Grangecastle, Clondalkin site. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial water/air cooled chillers and various AC units, with a 39 hour week and permanent contract.

You will carry out servicing, troubleshooting and documentation, liaise with planning teams, and ensure compliance with GMP and Veolia EHS standards. A Refrigeration F-GAS 2079 certificate and relevant trade qualification are required, with 2+ years'

Qualifications

• Refrigeration F-GAS 2079 certificate.
• Relevant trade qualification in Refrigeration, or qualified industrial Electrician transitioned to refrigeration.
• 2+ years maintenance and troubleshooting experience in pharma GMP environment.
• NFQ 5 qualification.
• Experience with water-cooled and air-cooled chillers and AC units.

Responsibilities

• Carry out work per schedule from Maintenance Coordinator and site procedures.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration equipment as directed by site supervisors.
• Complete site documentation before/after tasks as per SOP.
• Liaise with contractors during planned service maintenance.
• Participate in training and ensure ITP meets site requirements.
• Update maintenance task lists to reflect site needs and reviews.
• Ensure all work complies with Veolia EHS rules and guidelines.

Refrigeration Technician

Location: Grangecastle, Clondalkin

Duration: Permanent

Hours: 39 Hours per week

Overview of the role

The utilities refrigeration technician is responsible for the execution of the preventive and corrective maintenance program on the site refrigeration equipment. Your main role is to carry servicing, trouble shooting, and maintenance of Industrial water/air cooled Chillers and various AC units.

Day to Day Role

• Carry out work as per schedule supplied by the Maintenance Coordinator, Planner and as per site policies, schedules and procedures.
• Troubleshoot problems with utilities refrigeration equipment as necessary and as directed by site supervisors
• Complete site documentation before and after work tasks, as per relevant SOP.
• Liaise with Contractors during planned service maintenance.
• Participate in the appropriate training and ensure that ITP meets the site requirements.
• Carry out Risk Assessment of Equipment Maintenance Task List steps and ensure these are always kept valid.
• Update MTL's as appropriate to ensure they are always relevant to the site needs and meet findings from periodic reviews.
• Carry out Periodic reviews of EWI/SOP to ensure documents are always current and valid.
• All work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• You will have a Refrigeration F-GAS 2079 Certificate.
• Relevant Trade Qualification in Refrigeration, or A qualified industrial electrician which has transitioned to refrigeration
• 2+ Years in maintenance and troubleshooting experience of refrigeration equipment in a Pharma environment and familiar with GMP requirements.
• Qualified to a minimum of NFQ 5
• Familiar and capable of delivering Service/Maintenance and repair of Water-cooled and Air-cooled Chillers and AC Units
• Experience on large ton Centrifugal and Screw chillers would be a distinct advantage but training will be provided as required
• Have experience with major Chiller manufacturers such as York/ Sabroe/ Trane/ Carrier/ Daikin.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
