Job summary

Veolia in Grangecastle, Clondalkin is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to execute preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial water/air cooled chillers and AC units. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination with contractors on a fast-paced site.

Applicants should hold a Refrigeration trade qualification or equivalent electrician background with GMP familiarity, and have 2+ years of related maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Refrigeration F-GAS 2079 certification or equivalent.
• Trade qualification in Refrigeration or qualified electrician transitioning to refrigeration.
• Minimum 2 years in maintenance and troubleshooting of refrigeration equipment in a GMP/pharma environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on site refrigeration equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration systems as directed by site supervisors.
• Complete site documentation before and after work tasks per SOP.
• Liaise with contractors during planned service maintenance.
• Update maintenance task lists to reflect site needs and findings.
• Perform risk assessments of maintenance tasks and ensure EHS compliance.

Your main role is to carry servicing, trouble shooting, and maintenance of Industrial water/air cooled Chillers and various AC units.Day to Day RoleCarry out work as per schedule supplied by the Maintenance Coordinator, Planner and as per site policies, schedules and procedures.Troubleshoot problems with utilities refrigeration equipment as necessary and as directed by site supervisorsComplete site documentation before and after work tasks, as per relevant SOP.Liaise with Contractors during planned service maintenance.Participate in the appropriate training and ensure that ITP meets the site requirements.Carry out Risk Assessment of Equipment Maintenance Task List steps and ensure these are always kept valid.Update MTL’s as appropriate to ensure they are always relevant to the site needs and meet findings from periodic reviews.Carry out Periodic reviews of EWI/SOP to ensure documents are always current and valid.All work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines.Qualifications and ExperienceYou will have a Refrigeration F-GAS 2079 Certificate.Relevant Trade Qualification in Refrigeration, or A qualified industrial electrician which has transitioned to refrigeration2+ Years in maintenance and troubleshooting experience of refrigeration equipment in a Pharma environment and familiar with GMP requirements.Qualified to a minimum of NFQ 5Familiar and capable of delivering Service/Maintenance and repair of Water-cooled and Air-cooled Chillers and AC UnitsExperience on large ton Centrifugal and Screw chillers would be a distinct advantage but training will be provided as requiredHave experience with major Chiller manufacturers such as York/ Sabroe/ Trane/ Carrier/ Daikin.Good communication and interpersonal skillsAn ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.Computer Skills (Excel, Word etc)Please note:If you are an EU/EEA national, you will be asked to show proof of right to work in Ireland.If you are a non-EU/EEA national , you will require current and valid permission to work and reside in the Republic of Ireland.Information on legislation and guides to the procedures in relation to obtaining greencard permits ,work permits, spousal/dependant permits is available on the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation website.
