Job summary

Harper Finley is seeking a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer based in Dublin/Leinster with travel to client sites. The role covers service, maintenance, fault finding and installation across refrigeration and air conditioning systems, with a mix of reactive calls, planned maintenance and projects.

You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, testing and commissioning equipment, and contributing to on-site safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Refrigeration and air conditioning qualification with F-Gas certification.
• Hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Data centre experience is advantageous.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel and be on-call.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs with minimal disruption to clients.
• Install, test and commission equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and identify developing issues.
• Participate in the on-call rota and respond to emergency breakdowns.

• Support colleagues across service and project work as priorities change.

Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer

Location: Dublin / Leinster, with travel to client sites

Salary: €24-€26 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: 40 hours per week, with paid overtime and an on-call rota

The role

You will carry out service, maintenance, fault finding and installation work across refrigeration and air conditioning systems. The workload will vary between reactive call-outs, planned maintenance and installation projects.

What we are looking for

• A recognised refrigeration and air conditioning qualification, with relevant F-Gas certification.


• Hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.


• Data centre experience would be an advantage.


• Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently.


• A full driving licence and willingness to travel and participate in on-call duties.


• A dependable approach, strong work ethic and willingness to take feedback.
