Job summary

Astech Air Conditioning in Cork is seeking a Qualified Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer to perform planned maintenance, attend reactive callouts and carry out repairs across commercial environments.

You will service leading air conditioning units including splits, VRV/VRF, CRAC, AHU and chillers, with Fetac HVAC qualification and FGas certification, and be prepared to join the on-call rota (roughly every 6 weeks).

Qualifications

• Hold Fetac HVAC qualification.
• Must be FGas certified.
• Hold a full clean driving licence.
• Be willing to join the on-call rota (approximately every 6 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance, attend re-active callouts and complete repairs.
• Have experience working on leading brands Air Conditioning units – Splits, VRV, VRF, CRAC units, AHU’s and Chillers.
• Apply knowledge in pharmaceutical, healthcare and commercial environments.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills with customers and colleagues.

About the Role

• Be responsible for carrying out planned maintenances, attending re-active callouts and completing repairs
• Have experience working on leading brands Air Conditioning units – Splits, VRV, VRF, CRAC units, AHU’s and Chillers
• Have relevant experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and Commercial environments
• Have knowledge of BMS and HVAC controls
• Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with both customers and colleagues
• Be organised with strong attention to detail
• Have an aptitude for fault finding
• Be self-motivated, with proven ability to work on your own initiative to achieve targets
