Job summary

Plassey Food and Distribution Co Ltd is seeking HGV drivers for a 39-hour week in Ireland. You will be responsible for driving, loading/unloading, and delivering to destinations while maintaining safety and compliance. A valid Cat C licence with Tacho and CPC, plus a clean driving history, is required.

Salary ranges from €36,605 to €44,000 per year, depending on experience and route. Applicants should be able to work full-time and meet the 39-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• Category C licence, Tacho Card and CPC card or equivalent.
• Clean driving history and a minimum of 2 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Check tyres, brakes, lights, oil, water and fuel levels, and general vehicle condition.
• Drive vehicle from depot to loading/unloading points.
• Agree delivery schedule and route with transport management.
• Assist with loading/unloading and ensure load is evenly distributed and safely secured.
• Drive to destination in accordance with schedule.
• Maintain records of journey times, mileage and hours worked.
• Undertake minor repairs and notify supervisor of any mechanical faults.
