Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking an experienced Receptionist for our Dublin office. You will greet clients, manage a busy switchboard, book meeting rooms, and support onsite facilities.

This role offers Monday to Friday days with 7.25 hours and alternating shifts, suited to a professional who values a polished front-of-house. You will collaborate with Hospitality and Facilities teams to ensure seamless visits and accurate bookings while delivering a high standard of service in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • Previous reception or front-of-house experience is essential.
  • Confident and professional communication skills with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Excellent professional etiquette and a strong client service focus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative approach and strong teamwork.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and highly detail oriented.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and switchboard experience.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting and greeting clients in a courteous, professional and friendly manner.
  • Providing a professional and personable service to all clients, visitors and staff.
  • Reserving meeting rooms and ensuring bookings are accurate and up to date.
  • Calling clients and internal hosts in advance to confirm meeting details.
  • Coordinating with Hospitality and Facilities teams to ensure meetings run smoothly.
  • Operating a busy switchboard and directing calls professionally.
  • Booking taxi services when required.
  • Covering on the Hospitality floor when required.
  • Escalating any issues promptly to the relevant team.
  • Supporting on-site H&S responsibilities.

Role:

We are seeking an experienced and professional Receptionist to join our Dublin office at Grant Thornton. This role is ideal for a dedicated career receptionist who takes pride in delivering an exceptional front‑of‑house service and creating a welcoming, professional first impression for clients, visitors and colleagues.

The successful candidate will be confident working in a busy professional environment and committed to providing an efficient, courteous and consistently high standard of service.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Meeting and greeting clients in a courteous, professional and friendly manner.
  • Providing a professional and personable service to all clients, visitors and staff.
  • Reserving meeting rooms and ensuring bookings are accurate and up to date.
  • Calling clients and internal hosts in advance to confirm meeting details.
  • Working closely with the Hospitality team to help ensure meetings run smoothly from arrival through to departure.
  • Coordinating with internal teams to support visitor arrivals and any last‑minute changes.
  • Operating a busy switchboard and directing calls in a positive and professional manner.
  • Booking taxi services when required.
  • Covering on the Hospitality floor when required.
  • Escalating any meeting‑room, visitor or facilities issues promptly to the relevant team.
  • Working closely with the Facilities team on day‑to‑day office requirements, identifying and escalating any maintenance or facilities issues and supporting the delivery of a well‑maintained and professional working environment.
  • Supporting on‑site H&S responsibilities.
Skills Required:
  • Previous reception or front‑of‑house experience is essential.
  • Confident and professional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
