GPC Finance in Cork is seeking a Recently Qualified Accountant to join their accountancy practice. The role offers excellent opportunities for career progression in a dynamic work environment. An opportunity has opened for a Recently Qualified Accountant to join a medium sized accountancy practice based in Cork. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression within a dynamic and growing practice. The successful Qualified Accountant will be expected to work within a diverse team and will help to mentor Junior Accountants.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for range of clients in SME sector with turnover ranging from 1m to 25m turnover.
• Oversee and direct junior staff in accounts preparation.
• Preparation of Cash Flow Projections and business plans as required by clients.
• Dealing with Clients on diverse range of issues in relation to the day to day running of their businesses.
• Liaising with Tax Department in relation to preparation of Income Tax and Corporation Tax returns and ensuring timely filing of same within deadlines.

Requirements

• The accountant will be Fully Qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA
• Excellent communication skills and confident conversing with Clients and stakeholders, through all mediums.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Irish practice environment.
• Previous tax and accounts preparation experience
