Job summary

ELLIOTT MOSS CONSULTING PTE. LTD. in Ireland seeks an Application Support Analyst/Developer to join our team. The role blends business analysis, application support, and software development to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of enterprise applications.

You will work with business users, project leads, and technical teams to translate requirements into solutions, support React/TypeScript frontend and Java backend, write SQL queries, perform testing, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Application Support, Software Development, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with React.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with Java development and support.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to learn COBOL-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
• Support, maintain, and enhance React/TypeScript frontend applications and Java-based backend systems.
• Provide BAU support, including troubleshooting, bug fixes, and production issue resolution.
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries for reporting, data analysis, and operational support.
• Perform functional testing, system validation, and data analysis to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with business users, project leads, and technical teams to deliver enhancements.
• Investigate and resolve frontend, backend, and database-related issues promptly.
• Analyze system performance and recommend enhancements to improve stability and UX.
• Support incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive measures.
• Contribute to automation, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and best practices.
• Learn and support COBOL-based applications as part of the broader landscape.
