Qualifications

• ME or BEng (Level 8) in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of R&D experience.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks & AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of FEA; ANSYS preferred.
• Hands-on approach to mechanical testing and building test rigs.
• EN certification and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Good communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel and hold a full clean driving licence.
• Commitment to safety and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Project manage RD&I projects and cross-functional workstreams.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate with suppliers and external partners for components/testing.
• Develop and validate prototypes and test plans.
• Prepare technical reports and document development data.
• Analyse test data to optimise design and performance.
• Report updates to stakeholders; monitor timelines.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
• Provide technical support to other teams as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and tools.
• Ensure ISO 37301 compliance and CE marking requirements.
