Job summary

Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail in Ireland is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for the DART+ Programme, a major rail infrastructure project. You will support the Commercial and Planning team, ensure contract administration aligns with NEC frameworks, and help deliver value-for-money across contracts.

The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, strong IT skills (MS Excel), and experience in contract management within railway environments.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience in administering contracts, especially NEC contracts.
• Experience in QS/contracts management in a railway environment.
• Good IT literacy with MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Project Support and Value Assurance activities for the DART+ Programme.
• Ensure contract compliance and administration procedures are followed.
• Support commercial relationships with contractors and consultants.
• Contribute to contract development and negotiations with stakeholders.
• Monitor performance, KPI tracking, and cost variations with timely reporting.
