Qualifications

• Relevant degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, transport planning, or related discipline.
• Experience in one or more of the disciplines mentioned; rail consultancy or client/contractor background welcome.
• A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Irish and/or UK rail standards (desirable).
• Progress toward professional accreditation/chartership (or already attained).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to concept and feasibility studies, detailed design and assurance for new and existing rail assets.
• Apply data-driven methods such as simulation and digital engineering to improve safety, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, engaging stakeholders and delivery partners.
• Support work winning through proposals, thought leadership and client relationships.
• Coach junior colleagues and share best practice.
