Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Director to lead the PMCM Rail delivery in Ireland, expanding our footprint and shaping regional strategy. You will build strong client relationships with Irish Rail, NTA, TII and other authorities, guiding delivery and governance across major programmes.

You will mentor teams, ensure safety and quality, and drive innovation while maintaining high standards of financial performance and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, construction, management or a related discipline.
• Chartered membership of a recognised professional body (or working toward it).
• Proven experience leading major rail or infrastructure projects.
• Experience engaging with rail organisations (Irish Rail, NTA, TII, Network Rail or similar).
• Experience delivering NEC3/4 projects in a client‑facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the expansion of WSP’s PMCM Rail footprint across Southern Ireland.
• Establish trusted relationships with key Irish rail clients.
• Act as a client advisor and translate objectives into delivery strategies.
• Support pipeline development, regional positioning and strategic bids.
• Represent WSP at client engagements and industry events across Ireland.
• Lead delivery of large rail projects or a portfolio of programmes in Ireland.
