Job summary

Blackrock Health Galway Clinic is seeking a motivated Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join our busy Radiology Department. The role is permanent part time (26.75 hours per week) with duties including assisting and escorting patients, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting interventional procedures.

The ideal candidate will have 12 months experience in a similar role, a QQI qualification, and strong organisational and interpersonal skills to work with staff and patients in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 12 months experience in a similar role (desirable).
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist and escort patients to navigate the department.
• Remain with patients who require custodial supervision.
• Assist in keeping areas clean and tidy; moving equipment as needed.
• Delivering specimens to the laboratory when necessary.
• Reporting requests from patients and their families to Radiology staff.
