Job summary

Tirlán, based at the Research & Innovation Centre in Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny, seeks a technologist with dairy industry experience to support innovation across our Ingredients and Consumer business.

You will develop recipes, run benchtop and pilot scale experiments, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to move concepts from brief to full production while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Science based qualification in Food Science/Nutrition, Food Technology, or Food Engineering to BSc level or similar.
• 2+ years’ relevant technical experience in a value-added dairy/plant or food industry with customer facing experience
• Proactive and self-driven with ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver customer collaborative projects with support from the wider R&D team.
• Work as part of a cross-functional team with customer and Tirlán functions to complete projects on time and in scope
• Preparation & presentation of products, new ideas and concepts to internal & external customers and stakeholders
• Create, conduct & document benchtop & pilot scale experiments to evaluate concepts
• Organise and conduct factory-scale cheese and packaging trials with cross-functional teams
• Development, modification & completion of test methods & analyses
• Reporting & review of projects with R&D Manager and stakeholders
